Screenshots are a very innovative feature however they usually lack in the quality department. It's annoying when a screenshot looks grainy and nothing like the actual screen. But not anymore.

The reason that they lose quality is due to their format (jpg) but there's another format that that reserves more quality (png) and while it does mean the picture takes up more space, it honestly worth it.

To activate it:
  • Open settings
  • Navigate to "Advanced features"
  • Select "Screenshot"
  • Select "Format" and the select PNG

Now your screenshots should be looking clearer and more vivid.

Stay tuned for more😉

Also, taking into account native screen resolution of the users phone. If the users screen resolution is low, the quality will be low on a phone with a higher resolution or bigger screen with high resolution. This is a screenshot of a screenshot. (Pixel density plays a big role) I also mainly use PNG files for work purposes as it is better for editing or removing backgrounds if need be. 1731416846656.jpg

That is also true. Screenshots from IPS LCD displays are usually more compressed and have lower pixel density giving them less saturation and contrast compared to those from AMOLED and OLED display

People tend to overlook display when buying smartphones. They just see quality cameras and some RAM then get motivated.Little do they know that screen display has a huge impact on their user experience

Once took a PNG screenshot on a 2x AMOLED display of an S22 Ultra and it looked very gorgeous and uncompressed.

I take a screenshot and when I need to post it somewhere like on my WhatsApp status or Instagram it cuts out the top and bottom, idk if it's the aspect ratio or what I tried looking for that setting but couldn't fund it, I'm currently using a A34
