My phone got locked so how much they charge to unlock the phone at Samsung customer care center?

I forgot the password of my phone , can I unlock it at home or I have to go to shop? Is it safe to get it unlock from any local mobile shop or should I visit Samsung customer care centre? No Samsung account.
