Samsung phones laggard Android updates

In 2019, one is for sure... I am not going to buy anymore Samsung phones. I might buy a Nokia or a BlackBerry instead because in the past 6 years that I have been using Samsung phones, they take too long to release new Andoid updates.

When can we get an Android 8.0 update for A8 and A8+ 2018?
