go to hearing settings and check if the "turn off all sound "option is switched on.. turn that off.. if its already off your phone must be in do not disturb mode
for turning on edge notification go to edge settings and turn that on. and while the phone is locked and blacked out swipe up and down to the edge of the screen that will activate the feeds
