The Galaxy Store needs permission to read contacts. I mean why? And if you deny, it exits. I think samsung should consider it making optional. I don't think a app store should need contact read permission.
On my S8, out of 64GB, only 42GB is usable. The rest is hidden and is used by system. How is the hidden space utilized by system? Any detailed view on this?Is there any way to shrink down the system space, or claim back some of it?

There is no special. Samsung just ignores the phones after 2 years. There are other features which are provided to never phones which are possible to be provided to older phones too, but samsung just don't give that.
