Whatsapp backup not working ONEUI 6

Post ONEUI 6, whatsapp is not dumping backup on Google drive. Have tried multiple ways, but it's not working.

I think this has spoiled the already good camera post update. I spoke to other owners as well and they are experiencing the same issue post September update. Live focus and low light photography are badly affected.
