Samsung, if you're reading this, it's time for you to finally give us smartphone cameras worthy of being in the TOP 5 at least. Enough is enough.
Samsung has been behind for ages, not even in the top ten on DXO's camera's list. I wasn't shocked when I got this email, and I'm like, what's up with their cameras?.
Samsung has been busy for years mocking Apple (such as saying Apple still doesn't have 200MP sensors but megapixels don't give you the best results alone) when they should have been busy working on their cameras instead. They were trying very hard to make Apple look like a joke with their sarcastic posts (which is honestly petty), but data shows Apple has been consistently outperforming Samsung in the Smartphone camera quality department. The same can be said about smartwatch accuracy as the Apple Watch still outperforms the Galaxy Watch in data accuracy such as sleep, ECG, GPS, and heart rate tracking, which is what truly matters the most, not just new features. Although I give Samsung credit for its innovative features such as BP, body composition, AGEs index, and others. The Galaxy Watch is still my favorite watch and I won't switch.
Huawei's Pura is still the world's best overall smartphone camera year after year followed by Apple's iPhone Pro series, but Apple's video performance is the absolute best. Samsung is, well, in the 20s... year after year.
My wife still takes better photos (especially at night) with her iPhone than my Samsung lol. I must admit I am jealous but don't want to switch.
Before any Samsung fanboys start to ruthlessly attack me here, understand that I have been a Samsung fan for a very long time and been buying Samsung phones for years. But I have come to realize that, truth be told, Samsung does need to work harder on their cameras. If you don't believe me, take pics with a Huawei Pura or an Apple Pro Max phone and compare them with Samsung. You'll understand what I am talking about. Objectivity is important, and there's no sugarcoating camera rankings. Samsung has done a great job in other departments. If you can't be objective and would just be a mindless fanboy, then that meeans you can't take heat and are simply emotional. Credit is given where it is due.
If you are happy with the results you're getting, then good for you, but understand that other players in the market have much better cameras that you haven't even tried yet.
