Hi everyone! 👋 I just bought a Samsung watch today, charged it to 100%, and updated to One UI 8. 🔋 Then, in less than 2 hours, the battery became 25%. 😱 Has anyone else faced this, or do I need to return it? 🤔 Kindly help! 🙏 #Samsung #Watch #Battery #Update #Help

Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand your concern regarding the rapid battery drain on your Samsung Watch after updating to One UI 8. We’re sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing.

Battery performance can sometimes be affected after a software update due to background processes or settings adjustments. Here are some steps to help improve the battery life:

  1. Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery on your Samsung Watch to check which apps or features are consuming the most battery. This can help identify any unusual activity.
  2. Disable Unnecessary Features: Features such as Always On Display, Heart Rate Monitoring, or GPS can consume more battery. Consider turning off these features when not in use to conserve power.
  3. Reboot the Watch: A restart can help refresh the system and stop any background processes that may be draining the battery. Simply press and hold the Power button until the restart option appears.
  4. Update Apps: Ensure all apps on your watch are updated to their latest versions, as some outdated apps might contribute to battery drain.
  5. Reset the Watch: If the issue persists, you may want to consider performing a factory reset to eliminate any issues caused by the software update. Make sure to back up your data first. You can do this by going to Settings > General > Reset.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, it might indicate a hardware issue with the battery. In this case, we recommend visiting a Samsung Authorized Service Center for a thorough inspection. You can find the nearest service center here: https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/service-center/.

Thank you for your patience, and feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.
