WearablesI have been researching and comparing the differences between the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones and the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. So I decided to share my findings.
After using the Bose QC Ultra Headphones for a few days, I found that It was not worth the "upgrade I was looking for" because I was accustomed to the portability and comfort of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
🚉 👟
The Bose Ultra took up a significant amount of space compared to the Buds 2 Pro when on commute even though they could be folded as compared to the putting them in my pocket.
🔋
I wanted to get the Bose Ultra for its increased battery life and noise cancellation features. While the noise cancellation was nice (useful on the metro to avoid the Background chatter), I found that the outer areas of my ears began to hurt after an hour of use. I haven't really got a chance to test the battery but the Buds 2 Pro lasts 3-4 days with an average amount of use and could be worn comfortably when I am on the bed lying down in the side or while wearing a suit in the metro.
📱💻🔀
Another factor that prompted me to consider the Bose Ultra was its multi-point connectivity. Initially, it worked well, but when I switched to my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it struggled to connect properly. There were instances where the Bose Ultra was connected, but no sound came through the headphones for some time. I had to disconnect and reconnect, which took nearly three painstaking minutes to resolve. The seamless switching to my devices works like a charm on the Buds 2 Pro. However, on my Windows laptop, I just have to select the buds and it connects, and when I go to my phone, I just need to reconnect it with a tap of a button.
🎶🔊
The music quality on the Buds 2 Pro is on par with the Bose Ultra headphones because of the SSC Codec support, which allows SSC 24-bit Hi-Fi codec. The bass and the mids really sound amazing and will please most, if not all. The immersive mode compared to the 360 audio barely had an differences to begin with.
The microphone was okaish on the Bose Ultra compared to the Buds 2 pro. The Buds 2 pro microphone is better and you just have to turn on the ANC mode to get the best experience and it helps the receivers end to be able to hear you clearly.
I returned the Bose Ultra and went back to my Buds.
There is only one Ultra and it’s the Buds 2 Pro. 💙

Proudly owning Buds 2 Pro. Even the original buds Pro were even amazing.
