WearablesI recently bought Samsung watch 4 LTE. I have Vodafone IN postpaid connection.
Tried to setup LTE with my Pixel 2 XL phone (does not have eSIM) and the following message pops up: Vodafone IND doesn't offer mobile plans for your watch. Contact Samsung customer Service for more info.
Contacted Samsung : Samsung customer service response on this issue says "We would like to inform you that the LTE feature of the watch works only with Samsung devices." This looks strange as I see many in this forum were able to use it with non-Samsung phones.
Contacted Vodafone: Vodafone says, "may be" it is due to the fact Pixel 2XL phone does not have "eSIM" facility
Can anyone give some clarity on which one is correct or how do I go forward please?

WearablesFrom what I understand for Indian customers of galaxy watch LTE:
1. Airtel SIM has to be postpaid.
2. For JlO pre/postpaid both OK
3. Airtel SIM activation only works from Samsung mobile.
4. JIO SIM activation now no longer works from Oneplus. Only LGv20 or Samsung phones
mobiles have to be used for SIM activation. Please keep your JIO profile email
ID and password handy.
5. After SIM activation, you can switch to your original mobile.
Make sure you
take backup as switching mobiles resets the watch. You can restore settings
after switching back
6. Customer care at oneplus/jio/airtel are clueless.

WearablesThe following message received from Samsung:
We would like to inform you that as the Vodafone IND doesn't offer mobile plans for your watch, so we suggest you to use Airtel cellular provider and also we request you to contact Vodafone support for better assistance.

WearablesI am also facing same problem with my Watch 4 LTE 46 mm Classic
Although I have Airtel Prepaid, but since i am using OnePlus Nord phone I am not able to activate LTE facility.
DO you see in future something positive will happen like a software upgrade or something, or should I consider 40k gone down the drain ?
Extremely saddened by this limitations and restrictions from Samsung
