WearablesThank you for reaching out and putting the Galaxy Watch 6 to the test. We appreciate your interest in Samsung products and your commitment to uncovering its features.
To ensure accurate blood pressure readings, it's essential to follow common precautions. As you need to rest for at least five minutes in a comfortable position before measuring your blood pressure is crucial. It's advised not to measure blood pressure or ECG during physical activity and to avoid exercising 30 minutes before taking measurements.
By adhering to these guidelines, you can maximize the benefits of the Galaxy Watch 6's blood pressure monitoring feature. We're here to assist you with any additional information or support you may need.

WearablesHi, I have a Watch 6 Classic and I find the BP reading vary greatly from the cuff. I typically calibrate in the morning and the morning reading on the cuff and watch are similar for next couple of weeks. However, pretty much all the reading throughout the day differ wildly from the Cuff, ex, today Oct 24, 2023, 1-week into calibration
Watch | Cuff | |||||||
Morning | 122 | 65 | 60 | 116 | 65 | 60
Afternoon | 116 | 64 | 53 | 138 | 70 | 56 |
Anyway I can calibrate at a certain time and still get reasonable reading at other times of the day?
Same thing 2-days ago:
Watch | Cuff | |||||||
Morning | 113 | 63 | 52 | 122 | 68 | 54
Afternoon | 112 | 63 | 56 | 139 | 78 | 55 |
Thanks John
The afternoon Systolic has little in common between watch and cuff.
Thanks John

WearablesI just received the Watch 6 for Christmas. So its a new learning curve for yet another 'Smart' device !
I too am testing the relative correlation accuracy between the watch and my Omron BP7455 BP cuff monitor which I believe is very reliable as it compares well with my hospital and doctors office BP machine readings.
I have calibrated it three times so far and have noticed that if I calibrate early in the morning when my BP is typically well under 'Normal' i.e. systolic between 102 and 115 mmg, then all the Watch 6 subsequent readings remain low compared with the Omron cuff readings done at the same time.
Conversely if I calibrate the watch later in the day or early evening when my BP is typically much higher, i.e. 118-125, then all the subsequent Watch 6 readings fall within that higher range.
We don't what algorithmic syncing and averaging techniques are used in the Watch 6 O/S programming but this behavior is making me feel that the watch is unreliable in giving accurate readings even when following the calibration processes with a known accurate dedicated BP cuff machine as recommended by Samsung.
