Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience regarding Gemini on your Galaxy Watch Ultra after the recent software update. We understand how inconvenient it can be when a feature stops working as expected.

Please note that Gemini on Galaxy Watch operates through Wear OS and Google services, and after certain updates it may require reconfiguration or app updates to function correctly. In some cases, Gemini may also depend on the watch software version and the Google Assistant/Gemini update from the Play Store.

To help resolve the issue, we recommend trying the following steps:

  1. Ensure that all apps on your watch are updated by opening the Google Play Store on the watch > Manage apps > Update all.
  2. Restart both the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the connected smartphone.
  3. Open Settings on the watch > Apps > Assistant/Gemini and confirm that it is set as the default assistant.
  4. Make sure the watch is connected to the internet through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection with your phone.

If the issue still persists after performing the above steps, please visit the Samsung support page and select Contact Us so the technical team can further review your device:

Thank you for your reply and for sharing the additional details.

We understand that the issue with Gemini persists on your Galaxy Watch Ultra and that you are also experiencing faster battery drain after the recent software update. After major software updates, some applications and system services may require additional time to stabilize while background optimization processes are completed, which can temporarily affect battery performance and certain app functionalities.

We kindly recommend checking the following:

  1. Ensure that both the Galaxy Watch and the connected smartphone have the latest software updates installed.
  2. Open the Google Play Store on the watch and make sure that all applications, including Google services and Gemini, are fully updated.
  3. Restart both the Galaxy Watch and the connected smartphone once again to refresh the connection and background services.
  4. Check the battery usage on the watch by navigating to Settings > Battery >
  5. Battery usage to identify if any specific application is consuming unusually high power.

If the issue continues after performing the above steps, the device may require further technical inspection. You may locate the nearest authorized service center through the following link:
