Wearables
Hi, the alarm on my watch would not vibrate more than once. It used to continuously vibrate until I snooze or turn it off but all of a sudden, this stopped. I tried everything, checking for do not disturb conflict, deleted all schedules, even factory reset... Plz help.
My WhatsApp notifications also has a problem. Very adhoc notifications...

Hi
After recent One UI Watch 6 / Wear OS 5 updates, several users (especially with Galaxy A-series phones) reported exactly your symptoms —
🕑 Alarm now only vibrates once instead of continuously
💬 WhatsApp and app notifications arrive inconsistently
Let’s fix both together 👇
---
🧭 1. Alarm vibration issue
Samsung changed how alarms behave in the latest Watch update. The continuous vibration was accidentally broken for some users.
✅ Try these fixes in order:
A. Change vibration intensity and pattern
1. On your watch → Settings → Sounds and vibration → Vibration intensity → Set to Strong.
2. Open Clock → Alarms → (tap on your alarm) → Scroll down → Tap Vibration pattern → Try changing it to Heartbeat or Tapping.
3. Test the alarm — see if it loops or still vibrates once.
B. Disable “Bedtime Mode” or “Goodnight Mode”
1. Swipe down from top → Quick panel → make sure Bedtime mode (moon icon) is OFF.
This mode sometimes suppresses continuous vibration.
C. Reset alarm permissions
1. On your phone, open Galaxy Wearable → Watch settings → Apps → Clock → Permissions.
2. Make sure all relevant permissions (especially notifications) are granted.
D. Workaround (until Samsung patch)
This issue is being reported widely on Samsung Members.
Until it’s patched, you can use this trick:
Set the alarm sound + vibration together instead of vibration-only.
Even if the vibration stops, the sound continues, ensuring you don’t miss the alarm.
Samsung is aware of this bug and is working on an October patch to restore continuous vibration (watch firmware version R9xxXXU2BXJ1 or newer).

📱 2. WhatsApp notifications issue (inconsistent)
This one is often due to battery optimization or Wearable app sync issues.
✅ Fix steps:
1. On your phone → Settings → Apps → WhatsApp → Battery → Unrestricted.
2. Do the same for Galaxy Wearable and Watch Plugin (search “plugin” in your apps list).
3. Open Galaxy Wearable → Watch settings → Notifications → App notifications →
Ensure WhatsApp is toggled ON.
4. Turn “Sync Do Not Disturb” → OFF (under Notifications settings).
5. Restart both watch and phone.
If still delayed:
Go to Settings → Connections → Bluetooth → (tap your watch) → Toggle off and back on.
Then open Galaxy Wearable → Watch → Reconnect manually. This resets the background channel that sends notifications.
---
🧩 Optional check:
You can test notifications by sending yourself a WhatsApp message from another phone — if it arrives instantly, the setup is fixed.
---
