WearablesWe understand that accurate step tracking is essential, and we apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced. Here are some steps to help address and improve the accuracy of your step count:
- Make sure the watch is snug but comfortable on your wrist. A loose fit can affect the accuracy of the sensors.
- Ensure your Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is running the latest software. Go to the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, navigate to “Watch Settings,” and select “Software Update” to check for updates.
- Calibrating your watch can improve accuracy. In the Galaxy Wearable app, navigate to “Health Settings” and look for calibration options.
- Perform a simple test by walking a known distance and compare the results with the step count on your watch. This can help identify if there is a discrepancy.
- Ensure there are no accessories or external factors that might interfere with the watch’s sensors, such as excessive moisture or debris on the sensors.
- Sync your watch with your phone to ensure all data is updated. If issues persist, try restarting your watch and phone, or performing a factory reset on the watch as a last resort (ensure to back up any important data first).
