Galaxy fit 2 missing sleep data

Every now and then my Galaxy fit 2 doesn't record my sleep data. I got it in December and since it has been maybe 5 or 6 times that it doesn't record it. The rest of the time it seems to work fine - does anyone else experience something like this? Am I doing something to cause this?

maybe your galaxy has a software glitch and should be hard reset

How do I do that? And would I lose any data by doing that?

you first have to back up your data isn't your watch synchronised with your phone?

it is synced, I just want to make sure I don't lose anything
