Hello members, let’s talk about the Samsung Galaxy Watches that were unveiled during the Samsung Unpacked 2025 event in New York.
I will start with the quickest update:

What’s new?
In a nutshell, 64GB storage, new blue colour, and AI features(Wear OS 6, One UI8) that are coming to the 2024 Ultra moddel. That’s it, review is done

Should You Upgrade?
Now that the Ultra has been out for a year, and we know to which audience it is, if you have the 2024 model, and need the extra 32 GB, or if you like the new stunning blue colour, then do it, else, there’s absolutely no need, unless you are in a hurry to try the new OS and OneUI 8 which might take a few weeks to be released to the 2024 model.
If you own a different model, and want the Ultra, you can get the 2024 model for half the price and same specs, or the 2025 model with the upgraded memory and blue colour.
Please note that the straps of both 2024 and 2025 will be compatible on both watches and can be interchanged.
Galaxy Watch 8: (2 sizes: 40mm & 44mm)
Let’s start with the 8, I do not have the 7 to compare to it, but I used it for a whole day. It’s a descent sized one, with better hardware and software, including a bigger battery. I cannot in all honesty recommend and tell you to stay away from it, as I need to be objective and did not put it to the test.
Galaxy Watch 8 classic: (1 size 46mm)
We asked and they finally listened!!! Kind of? Well, the bezel is backkkkkkk!!!! But only on this model, not the ultra.
I used it for a full day also, and I can say right away, it’s super snappy, more than the 2025 ultra I have, the only reason I can think of is the new OS. And the battery is amazing, my older Galaxy watch 6 Classic has a smaller battery and lasts for 2 days, common sense says this one can last half a day more, but I won’ t be able to judge until I try.
I personally like it, will get the black variant in BT not Cellular, because I still didn’t enable it on my Ultra.
It has a bigger battery, better sensors and software. Once I receive it, I will go over the Initial thoughts/1st Impressions in details so you can make up your mind if you want to upgrade.
Please note that the Galaxy Watch Ultra straps will not be compatible with the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, even though both watches look alike.
Should You Upgrade?
If you have a watch Ultra and miss the bezel, then yes, it’s a decent watch that looks like the ultra’s little sister, but with a bezel.
If you have the watch Ultra and don’t care about the bezel, then definitely no, there’s no need or point.
If you have the Galaxy Watch 7, I cannot honestly tell you as I haven’t used it, but logically, each year the watch improves in both hardware and software.
If you have the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic or an older model, then yes it’s a no brainer.

If you are outside the UAE and have an online store, my advice is ALWAYS buy from the Samsung website as they will always give the best offers, and don't forget to add the Samsung Care+.
