Back in February, Samsung revealed the second-gen Galaxy Buds+. The new wireless earbuds were an incremental upgrade over the first generation. Despite the fact that it lacks an ANC microphone, it comes with improved battery and microphones. Among the features, we have Spotify Quick-Access, Multi-Device connectivity, and the “Ambient Aware” feature for noise isolation. Now, Samsung’s first-gen Galaxy Buds are getting some of these features with a new software update.

The update starts with the implementation of Microsoft Swift Pair. It allows the earbuds to connect quickly to Windows 10 PCs via Bluetooth. The last year’s earbuds also come with multi-device connectivity. This way, you can connect both your phone and PC and change between the two without terminating the connecting with either of the devices. The Galaxy Buds Ambient Sound feature also was revamped in this update. Users can switch on or off automatically as per schedule. Previously, they were required to switch on the feature with the Galaxy Wearables app or by covering one of the earbuds with your palm or finger.
Samsung also added Personalized Playlist feature to the Galaxy buds for your Spotify playlist. According to the source, the update is coming with the R170XXU0ATD2 build number and is currently rolling out for global users. You need to check if the latest firmware is available via the Wearables app
