I had apple watch earlier, airtel data plan was working fine there. Now switched to Samsung watch 6 and Samsung S23+, every time when I try to activate the data plan I get "Oops something went wrong error", I called airtel multiple times, they says they have cleared the backend data but it is not helping.

Visited Airtel shop too, they simply raised a SR to backend team and backend team simply closed the SR without resolving.

Finally Airtel backend team was able to fix it, they did clear my previous smart watch links,

Also followed below steps

  • reset smart watch
  • delete samsung wear app
  • re-install samsung wear app
  • should not be connected to wifi, but should be on mobile network
  • wait for 30 min
  • then restart the pairing process

I tried all these steps but still it wasn't resolved. How to do it ? Airtel team says that they have deregister all old watch links.

Was your watch purchased out of India? Happens in such cases. The procedure followed by backend team as described is required
