The Call screening feature on the Galaxy S26 series allows the Call assistant answer calls and ask the caller who they are and why they're calling. You'll see what the caller and the AI say on screen even if you don't answer the call. You can still answer the call at any time or switch to Text call.
Call screening automatically plays a voice greeting to the caller when a call comes in and records what the caller says.
Step 1. Tap Phone app.
Step 2. Tap More options icon.
Step 3. Select Settings.
Step 4. Select Call screening.
Step 5. Select your Language.
Step 6. Turn on Call screening switch.
When Auto screen calls is turned on, suspected spam, phishing, or unknown calls are screened automatically.
Step 1. Tap Phone app.
Step 2. Tap More options icon.
Step 3. Select Settings.
Step 4. Select Call screening.
Step 5. Select Auto screen calls.
Step 6. Turn on Auto screen calls and select types of calls you want to screen.
When a call comes in, tap Call assist. The assistant will answer for you to find out who's calling and why. Once you see the caller's details, you can choose to take over the call yourself.
Step 1. When the call comes in, tap Call assist button.
Step 2. Tap Call screening button.
Step 3. Check the caller's name and the purpose of the call, then tap Call icon to start the call.
After checking the caller's name and purpose through Call assist, you can use Text call to have the AI speak on your behalf if you're unable to take the call yourself.
Step 1. When the call comes in, tap Call assist button.
Step 2. Tap Call screening button.
Step 3. Check the caller's name and the purpose of the call, then tap Text call button.
Step 4. Enter your message and continue the conversation using the AI voice.
Step 5. After using Text call, you can switch to a voice call or end the call.
After the call ends, you can view the conversation in Call assistant from Recents.
Step 1. Tap Phone app.
Step 2. Tap Recents.
Step 3. Select phone number.
Step 4. Tap Text call icon.
