The Audio Eraser, a Galaxy AI feature, makes it easy to erase unwanted sounds from videos. You can now extract sound sources such as voice, sound of the wind, and music from videos and edit them easily.
1. Entry Point
You can access the Audio Eraser feature either by clicking on the 4-star icon at the bottom of the Gallery or through the Video Editor.
First, let us see how to enter through the 4-star icon from the Gallery. Play the video you want, and press the 4-star icon at the bottom to use the Audio Eraser.
Now we will see how to access the feature through the Video Editor. Play the video you want in the Gallery, click on the Edit button and then press the Audio tab to run the Audio Eraser.
2. The Feature
The Audio Eraser feature separates audio by sound source through multi-source separation technology and allows you to edit separated sound sources, as you desire.
The types of sound sources are classified first into "voice," "music," "wind" and "noise," while the "noise" category is displayed as one of "crowd," "nature" and "noise" depending on the results of the detection.
This technology is optimized for editing audio from actual raw footage, and the performance may deteriorate in the case of videos with audio that has already been edited or mixed, content that has been degraded through multiple file compressions/conversions, or very long footage.
You can adjust each detected sound source to be louder or quieter, and you can also use the Auto button to reduce all noise other than ‘voice’ and ‘music’ in one go.
You will find this feature useful if you want to remove unwanted noise, the sound of the wind, or just want to keep the clarity of the voice or music after filming a video.
