it is just a wireless medium to connect devices like wifi, bluetooth, infrared.. it was the time when those wifi and high speed bluetooth were not provided to the normal phone. NFC do helped a lot for sending file and all like today direct wifi, wifi, bluetooth are doing. but time has changed everything. basically we don't use it very much since the technology is of bit old.. yes there may be some advantage of it but its disadvantages when we look to the bluetooth and wifi is that nfc is much slow is transferring data.. and its range is very short. we dont use it as a new technology but future updation would be nice if scientists are keen to invent more on this. 🙂
