The video conference app pulled in more than 200 million daily active users last month — significantly up from a maximum of 10 million users previously. However, despite its skyrocketing growth, Zoom has been under fire over security concerns. From schools and officials to various governments, people have been asked to refrain from using the app. The Indian government 🇮🇳also recently warned its officials about the Zoom. Also, some of its users have alleged that the app sends data to third parties located in China.
Zooms key features such as being able to video-conference with up to 100 people👥 for free (up to 500 participants in paid plans) and recording support make the zoom app a great solution for virtual meetings. If you're looking for a more lively way to talk with friends, Houseparty is the way to go. It's similar to Zoom in the way that it allows each user to see all other people in the call, but there's a maximum of eight people allowed in each call. Aside from regular video calling, the Houseparty app allows you and your friends to play different games together, including Trivia, Heads Up, and Quick Draw, so it's ideal for casual get-togethers.
Zoho Meeting is completely browser-based web conferencing solution that lets you host free online meetings and webinars, for a team meeting, presentations, and more. In Zoho Meeting, all transmissions are encrypted with industry-standard SSL/128-bit AES protocols.
Duo is specifically tailored towards video conferencing. It strips away the more well-rounded features of Hangouts for a more simplistic approach. You can still host a conference call across all of your devices, including your preferred web browser and Google’s own Nest Hub, but you can only connect up to 12 users,👥 meaning that this app might be best for chatting with family members and friends🙂. One interesting feature is the ability to send video messages.
While Zoom and Hangouts are decidedly better for work meetings, this app is perfect for catching up with your less tech savvy family members.
Whereby’s free version is rather limited compared to some others mentioned here; it gives you the use of a single meeting room with up to four participants, along with the ability to lock rooms (participants have to “knock” to gain entrance). Each room has its own URL that you get to choose, which is great — assuming that nobody else has already taken that name. (For example, I tried whereby.com/testroom and found it was already taken.) But it also has a chat function, lets you share a screen, mute or eject users, and has some fun emoji. If you have more people in mind, the Pro version (Paid) offers up to 12 participants per room in up to three meeting rooms.

What to do🙇
No one of these video chat apps is perfect, but they can each be used for different purposes. Fancy a chat with multiple Apple-using friends or family? FaceTime is ideal. Got a big party situation on the go? It has to be Houseparty.
I’m hoping Jitsi becomes more stable as the service grows, because I like its ethos and it’s pretty secure. Signal is my many people's favourite, but doesn't support group chat.
Facebook Messenger , Whatsapp Are other Alternatives.
WhatsApp’s new update now allows 8 users 👥in audio, video calls.
Apple's FaceTime video calling tool supports 32 people.👥
Facebook Messenger can support up to 50 people👥 in a call.
