In my previous post I given each ott platform dates of lifting restrictions. As I contacted customer service of respective platforms. According to that youtube lifted restrictions on July 16 and you can watch HD content on any network. Even yesterday I saw a video in HD with mobile data. But today morning after seeing another M30s user post I again checked and here it is...

Well again restrictions started and you can only watch upto 480p on mobile networks. As of now no restrictions on BB connection they may start for it too.....

So, as of now 1. you can watch in HD by visiting desktop version of YouTube. 2. Using vpn.

Why not leave this option to the customers.

If they leave it to customer ofcourse they will watch in HD 🤣🤣 and gets further burden on network. It is a precautionary method to avoid complete shutdown of Internet. I guess restrictions start with BB too within 2-4days if they want to.

The restriction isn't taken down by Govt of India for mobile data, the 1080p feature is available in BB network whose restriction lifted last month, may be by this month end mobile data restriction will be taken down and you will be free to watch in 1080p.

Even yesterday I watched 720p and 1080p with mobile data. It was lifted on July 16th confirmed by customer service itself.

No buddy, it's wasn't yesterday I checked their was just 480p max available

Maybe.. maybe not.. I use WiFi only at home. outside I never saw 480p from last few days... Even with mobile data it was 1080p max... BTW I use YouTube vanced but no i checked with my father, brother too.. They too watched HD using mobile data itself.. In official YT
