Samsung unveiled a new security feature called Knox Matrix at the SDC22 event on October 12. This is a multi-device security solution, which uses blockchain technology to enable multi-layer mutual monitoring across different connected devices.

From smartphones to smart homes, it’s easier than ever to get more things done with devices. However, as the connectivity grows, concerns about maintaining peace of mind when using the connected device ecosystem increase too.

While the device ecosystem that is used every day makes things more convenient, one cannot be completely free from worries about potential security threats that exist only because of the internet connectivity of one’s devices. After all, if just one device is compromised, all others are at risk.

Multi-device protection is the next battlefront for security and privacy. Samsung believes that security and privacy are top priorities for its users therefore, it is taking its device security experiences to the next level with the new Knox Matrix solution.

The new security function will work as a user’s own private blockchain system where your connected devices enhance security through multi-layered mutual monitoring.

Knox Matrix will share credentials device-to-device and protect sensitive information even between trusted devices to protect your smart home from unauthorized access and to make the login process more convenient.

No matter whether the Samsung device is based on Android, Tizen, or another OS, Samsung Knox Matrix is able to provide a unified security SDK.

Samsung says the new multi-device security solution ensures to not compromise connectivity to stay protected. The function is set to provide the devices within the ecosystem with fewer vulnerabilities through strong, diverse security practices.
