Samsung keyboard eating up battery

When I was using Swiftkey keyboard, it was not even in top 20 of battery usage list.

Yeah. I have been using swiftkey for past 4-5 years now. I also tried using Samsung keyboard for past 7 days or so.

Not sure how much this will help but you can try,
Setting > apps (enable show system apps)
Find Samsung Keyboard >battery turn off allow background activity.
This should stop background usage.
