Samsung has emerged as one of the leading companies, following Google, in consistently delivering software updates for its Galaxy devices. While the company previously prioritized hardware quality over software updates, it has now shifted its focus to the software department in recent years. This strategic shift is driven by the recognition that providing robust software support is crucial for enhancing the reliability of their devices. In today’s competitive smartphone market, customers increasingly seek devices that offer innovative features and continue to deliver an exceptional user experience over an extended period.

So to keep its dominance in the Android smartphone, Samsung has changed its strategy and started giving proper updates to the smartphones. Earlier, the company promised to give at least three updates to the expensive smartphones, and the other one is only eligible for the two Android updates. But after the policy change in 2022, the Korean giant has expanded the software support for the devices. Now the high-end device is eligible for four Android updates.
Apart from these, Samsung has also parted the device in eligibility of security updates available for the devices; however, most of the devices are eligible for five years of security updates. But if you go for the calculation, you have to go for the exact and then add the different eligible years for each device. To save you time, we have created a list of all Galaxy devices eligible for the updates.
