Samsung has emerged as one of the leading companies, following Google, in consistently delivering software updates for its Galaxy devices. While the company previously prioritized hardware quality over software updates, it has now shifted its focus to the software department in recent years. So to keep its dominance in the Android smartphone, Samsung has changed its strategy and started giving proper updates to the smartphones. Earlier, the company promised to give at least three updates to the expensive smartphones, and the other one is only eligible for the two Android updates. But after the policy change in 2022, the Korean giant has expanded the software support for the devices. Now the high-end device is eligible for four Android updates.
Apart from these, Samsung has also parted the device in eligibility of security updates available for the devices; however, most of the devices are eligible for five years of security updates.
