Dark Mode and High Contrast Mode
Watching the bright screen for long hours causes eyestrain and can lead to health issues related to eyes. With the Dark mode turned on, the Samsung Internet browser switches to a dark theme and convert the content of any webpage into a dark theme. This feature is especially useful to make the browsing experience easy on the eyes in dark conditions and avoiding eyestrain in addition, the resultant battery savings are a bonus. The browser uses the colors provided by the content developer and converts them into dark theme colors using its proprietary algorithm. This algorithm modifies the colors in the original webpage in order to convert the content to a dark theme while also keeping the essence of the original colors. The 'high contrast mode' feature of Samsung Internet works similar to the dark mode but with some key differences. This feature specifically keeping in mind the needs of the visually impaired users. The browser modifies the original colors of the webpage in order to keep maximum contrast between the foreground and background elements. Unlike dark mode, there is not much emphasis put on preserving the essence of the original colors, as this is primarily an accessibility feature.
