At the beginning of this month
Samsung announced the Galaxy A42 5G as its cheapest 5G-ready smartphone. The South Korean company revealed its key specifications, pricing, and availability. However, it did not mention the name of the processor that fuels the device. Fresh information that it could be fueled by the all-new Snapdragon 750G mobile platform that went official yesterday.

Dealntech has shared a screenshot of the source code of the Galaxy A42 5G’s Geekbench benchmark. In the screengrab shown below, the handset is mentioned with its SM-A426B model number. The source code revealed that the chipset that powers the Galaxy A42 5G has an octa-core that includes two cores running at 2.21 GHz and six cores clocking at 1.80 GHz. It also revealed that the SoC includes Adreno 619 graphics

Priced at 369 euros, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is scheduled to be available for purchase in Europe in November. It will come in colors like black, white, and gray. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch S-AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution support. The display is embedded with a fingerprint scanner. It has a 20-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 5-megapixel (depth) quad-camera system. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
