Samsung Electronics will most likely not begin public testing of Android 11 on its smartphones before Google releases the first stable version for its Pixel-branded smartphones.Last year, stable Android 10 became available to the general public in early September. While Samsung only launched the Android 10 beta program for the Galaxy S10 in mid-October. Android 11 for Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be accompanied by a new proprietary One UI 3.0 interface. Before the release of One UI 3.0, the Korean manufacturer will still have time to release a major functional update to One UI 2.5.One UI 2.5 will debut with the launch of the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Tab S7. The Galaxy S20 is likely to get One UI 2.5 before moving to One UI 3.0 based on Android 11.

The official report only talks about a novelty: the integration of Google gestures for third-party launchers. This is something that is not present in One UI 2.0 or 2.1. We will see it in One UI 2.5. Beyond this detail, we do not know any other news.

Regarding the devices that will receive One UI 2.5, there could be several. This include all the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy A models launched in the summer. We also expect that the Galaxy S20 gets the update a few days after the arrival of the Note 20 with the features of One UI 2.5.
