Rich Communication Service
Texting has changed the way we communicate. But has it really caught up with all the things we like to do today, like sharing high-res photos and larger files, chat with a larger group, know when messages are read by someone, or make video calls??🙌
We may recall that recently Samsung revealed its plan to finally catch up in the race for mobile messaging dominance, with something they call "Chat", chat is the consumer friendly name for Rich Communication Services the new standard that meant to supplant SMS.

What is RCS??
Rich Communication Services was developed in 2007 as a smarter way to send text features of a standard SMS, RCS makes it easy and faster for user to group text, videos, and receive time sensitive updates from businesses Samsung has supported the concept of Rich Communication Services(RCS) in a brilliant manner.

Four things we need to know, if we want to be up to speed on Rich Communication Services (RCS)
1. Chat is a service - Not an app..
Unlike Messaging apps like Facebook and Whatsapp Messenger, Chat is a service and unlike other apps we don't need to download it from playstore, galaxy store or somewhere else. Its interface look like SMS a lot.🙂
2. Chat is not secure as Samsung Message..✉
Samsung has set the gold standard in so many ways with SAMSUNG MESSAGE. Chats dosen't have end to end encryption like SAMSUNG MESSAGE. It means if someone hacks into our phone, they may be able to see messages. This doesn't mean that chat isn't secure, only that Samsung has gone extra mile to keep data protected by the mean of Samsung Knox a leading mobile security solution that provides a secure environment for all galaxy devices.
3. Chats may come to the PC..💻
Syncing up chat to our personal computer will make it easier to communicate with friends and family. Chat will need to have carriers and networks on board in order to make this happen, but Samsung has already given chat their support which is a good sign.
4.RCS may widely available in 2019 but 2020 is more likely..👍
RCS won't take the world by storm in 2019, but it will likely to be rolled out likely in 2020. It is clear that Chat has a solid RCS foundation. But it's not quite ready to come to mobile devices near us just yet.

So! There we have! Rich communication services i.e.. RCS 🙂

Thank you for the precious time..🙂
