Samsung claims it wants to assist you avoid spending a lot of money on a repair shop if your Samsung Galaxy S21 is acting strangely. This summer, the company will introduce a new service that will send you the parts, tools, and repair instructions you need to fix your own device.

Only owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 smartphones and tablets, as well as the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus tablet, will be eligible at first. The business intends to add other smartphones, but it hasn't said when or which ones would be introduced initially, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 family.

Yeah, indeed but people are gonna brick their phones if they have 0 knowledge

It's just a way of charging higher bill in case a customer screws up the device and that will happen with most of the ppl.

It can be assumed this way.

It's not assumption bro, this is their plan for sure, way of making more money. Don't think this will take off as why customers want to do it themselves if they can ask the service center to do it. If warranty has expired and service center gonna charge huge amount then the customer will try this method.

How many people are like Jerry (from Jerry rig everything channel of youtube). Even he bricks phone sometimes. This is hilarious. Make something which cannot be repaired DIY, then supply tools to brick it so that ultimately people buy a new phone.
