Tech TalkWhen capturing screenshots, we see the screenshot toolbar at the bottom that allows us to quickly share or edit the picture.
SUGGESTIONS
1. The system should hold the screenshot in some temporary storage until the user completes any of the available actions like scrolling screenshot, editing, sharing etc. Only when the action is completed, the screenshot must be saved to the Screenshots folder.
As long as the toolbar is onscreen, screenshot should NOT be saved to the Screenshots folder.
REASON
Google Photos instantly backs-up the screenshots as soon as they are taken, so if a user performs any edits or takes a scrolling screenshot, it results in 2 copies of the screenshots, and one has to manually delete the 1st copy each time in Google Photos.
2. The screenshot toolbar must disappear automatically after 3 or 5 seconds, without the need for the user to click anywhere outside of it, in case user takes a scrolling screenshot and there is no input for 3 or 5 seconds.

Tech TalkThat dot (.) In front of the name signifies temporary file but Google Photos being system app has access and creates 2 copies which is unwanted

Tech TalkSimilarly, whenever I am performing any of the actions like editing or long screenshot, only the final copy is saved in the gallery. That is if I am cropping it, only the cropped copy is saved. That too only after selecting the save option. Otherwise, there is an option to discard the edit which will get rid of the ss altogether.
On the same note, when I take a long screenshot, only after completing the action the ss is saved.
Google photos don't create a copy in my case. Only the edited copy gets saved there too.
