This post will fix one of your major issue in Samsung device.

So, battery drain in samsung devices is a very common thing, especially when the device is on standby. This is due to the system and kernal wakelocks in which certain apps, services and sensors runs in background, which is mostly unnecessary. Now usually after a certain amount of time, Android goes into deep sleep mode, but it does not reduces the drain touch extent.

So, in this how to post, I will show you how to completely stop standby drain / battery drain at night once and for all.

Steps to follow:-

1.Download and install 'Battery Guru' application from the Play Store

Don't worry it's completely free, and you no full screen ad. Moreover, you won't see any ad if you're using DNS.

2.Open and setup the app

It doesn't require any extra work. Just some information to continue, and a button to calibrate. It will take 5 to 10 seconds.

3.Give required permissions to the app

Now, here's come an important part. Click on three dots on the top right corner>Others>Settings>Permission manager

You have to allow this permissions using adb with the help of your PC. Don't worry if you do not have a PC, you just need a wifi connection and Shizuku app. (Will explain in a later how-to post but for now google it).

4.Go to 'Save section' and enable on screen off

The final step is to go to 'save' and turn on 'enable on screen off'. Scroll down to 'Advanced battery saving options' and chose 'Extreme' and you're good to go.

Now here you can customise if you want to go to quick doze as soon as your display turns off, spoof the rest of your system that battery saver is enabled, etc. which are super helpful in certain conditions.

Note:-

1.Your alarms will not be affected by this. It will work as usual, same goes to call and messages.

2. Most of the sensors will still work, especially motion sensor, so that you can lift to wake your phone, a setting in Samsung devices.

3.Apart from this, this app is super useful. It will show your remaining battery capacity in mAh and in percentage, how much battery is consumed per hour, how much is the charging speed, which apps consumes battery, set temperature alert, notify if an app is taking huge amount of battery in background, graphs and what not. And the best part is that this app is completely free. So what are you waiting for? Go and try this out!

Yes, all permissions are given by ADB. Don't know what happened to my device. When i went samsung service centre they reinstall firmware. Even without installing any apps, without sim card battery drains 25-30% overnight. It doesn't go into deep sleep. When i talk to them they said its normal to drain this much battery overnight, really unhappy with their replay. I have tried Napptime also, but that doesn't work. When i wake up i got message like "Some system apps or process overloading CPU". Means something running overnight but can't figure out. Brother do you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I have order Samsung F23 for my mother, but i am worried about this battery drain....20221001_074353_26_1664617771.jpg

That's no was near 'NORMAL'. Those people just favours samsung and talks rubbish. Ideally your battery shouldn't drain more than 5% overnight and with this app, the drain is almost 0% or hardly 1% if the standby time is too long.

The issue you're facing about laggy software are faced by many who have F23. Do you have any SD card installed on your device?

Just found one post on reddit that many S20 FE users face same issue and one of that got it fixed by turning off Adaptive battery and turn off sleep and deep sleep apps. Will check again Tomorrow whether it is working or not. I am pretty sure this issue is from buggy software because when i checked battery usage "Storage Booster" app consumed around 77% battery. That's not normal...Screenshot_20221015-183624_Settings_1000019500_1665839184.jpg

77% is way more abnormal and here's the culprit. Did this fix the issue? If not, then turn off storage booster or remove it using ADB.

No. Removing storage booster doesn't help. Now Accessibility service's battery consumption shows 91%. Don't know what is happening!Screenshot_20221023-204137_Settings_1000028365_1666537897.jpg

I can help. Try to set up a bixby routine widget and configure it in a way that it will turn off everything i.e. AOD, Wifi, Bluetooth, and mobile network (just turn on airplane mode) and configure "Close all apps" in the same bixby routine so whenever you tap on the widget, all those commands will be performed.. i used to have the same battery drain overnight issue but every since i did this, i don't lose even 1% battery overnight. Battery still drains though in the daytime when I'm not using the phone but if you want the fix for overnight battery issue then this should help

Then it might be a hardware issue, not a software issue
