We all know that Samsung has released its Q1 flagship of the year with the name S20,S20 plus,S20 ultra. The S20 ultra is somewhat Similar to previous year S10 plus 5G model. Samsung just rebranded it to S20 ultra. And Like previous years they have released two versions of the S20 series. One with Snapdragon 865 and Other with Exynos 990. But like previous years Snapdragon variant is limited to US, Canada and China in addition with South Korea. There were rumours that Samsung might launch the Snapdragon variant in more countries like UK, India but the didn't. All others are getting the Exynos 990 version. But as per the trend, even this year too there is a huge performance gap between the Snapdragon and the Exynos variant. Even with new mongoose cores and with new Valhalla architecture The Exynos didn't performed well. The Snapdragon version still has better performance better battery life and better ISP. But we know that Samsung will fix this through firmwares but still there is a huge gap between the two. Looks like they are two different phones with same name as per the tests concerned. Now lets talk about how Exynos could have performed if not as similar but not at huge gaps than Snapdragon. The reason is that Samsung's custom mongoose cores are powerful than Cortex architecture but they are using an years old Cortex A76 architecture. These Mongoose cores are responsible for heating, throttling and bad battery life of the Exynos processor. This lead to a huge generational gap. They could have directly used ARMs Architecture. That would have increased the performance of the Exynos. As per the leaks and rumors the Company is doing that soon. Or else they could have been gone with AMD which they are partnering for their GPU side. There are already so much petitions about Exynos 990 this year. Hope Samsung has planned a better soc for the Note 20. Recently they have announced a custom Exynos soc in partnership with Google. This chipset will come with 5nm architecture, Cortex A78 cores, Malis Unannounced MP20 GPU. This might come first with Pixel 5. And there is a possibility that we can this on the Note 20. Hope this happens as Note 20 is already benchmarked with Snapdragon 865 plus which is the first mobile processor to break the 3.0 ghz barrier. So Samsung should do Equal on the Exynos side. At least that's what people are thinking.
