Does 'Usage data access' has anything to do with the security of android phones? Is it ok to disable usage data access permissions of apps listed under it?

I've disabled this permission even for some system apps like 'Shell' & 'Samsung Core services'. Does denying this permission affect the security systems of phones like Knox security in case of Samsung phones?

Well it's not a good thing to restrict them as they the part of basic Android And Samsung One UI and are required to make sure system runs normally..

I've disabled it for 5 months now. I enabled it just now. So does that mean that my phone's security is compromised in anyways?

Yes during that 5 months time it was compromised but will restart the security as you have now enabled them ...

What is compromised? Security of my phone? Will Samsung or android will provide an option to disable such critical security settings of phone in the first place?

Well it's not as severe as you thinks it is but in reality it's just a small part of big security system
Think of it like few solider being removed from huge army temporarily it won't have any visible impact but you know it's current a little weaker than earlier.........
Hope it helps ....

Above apps are important system apps, leave the permissions as it is...
