I got to learn that after recent updates Samsung has changed its procedure to access the factory Data reset options.
Now you need to connect original headphone with C type port in to Galaxy phones or original Data cable connected to working desktop and then press and hold Volume up and Power button.
Ignore if known earlier.

Normal hard reset can be performed by turning off ur phone and pressing power and volume up or down button and get option for factory or catch clear.. This way available in android mobile from way back.
All have similar ottion for catch clear and hard reset.
Some time you have to use this technique when ur phone screen hang and no response. Just do a reboot from the same way.

GopiDabi, you're talking about getting into Recovery Mode. You're right, after the recent 3.1 update, you power down the phone, connect it either to a laptop or pc, or headphones, then press the Power and Volume Up buttons.
