This article is old, but it clearly mention the name of Samsung and HTC.

I now seriously doubt about security patch updates.

Android OEMs are Faking Security Patches and Fooling Users

Leading Android OEMs like Samsung and HTC are moving forward the dates of security patches, but not issuing any updates.

I highly doubt what is written in the post, not just for Samsung, but for any other brand.

You can't say anything for sure bro. Not for any company.

After what I faced with my A71 I can't say for sure for Samsung.
Same is true for other companies.

We have no way to know what's going on, but the reason I said that I doubt is because "why". Brands care about their reputation, and if they do something like this, it's bound to come forward. This post feels like it came from an Apple user.

According to current state of youtubers and tech journals, no one will report.
No one reported false advertisement for A71.
I tagged so many youtubers on twitter. You know about it if you read my post. This is too big to report.

Anything can happen.

I know right, that was a serious concern, but this seems to be entirely false. They don't need a 100 mb update to just change the date, and furthermore, why would they bother developing a big update if they had to just change the date? They mentioned that only Google doesn't do this so that it seems true to some extent, otherwise people won't believe them.
