I am here to ask about an honest and a long-term review/user experience on Galaxy Tab S9/S9+
I have been using Apple iPads until now, my current is iPad Air 5 (M1 chip) but for a change, I wanted to try something different. I have an Android phone (S24 Ultra) but I can't always find a screen to use Dex so I was thinking of a laptop replacement, do you think tab S9/S9+ is fit for the job?
Also, do tell me about the performance in terms of multitasking, entertainment for example, Netflix, YouTube, etc, also in terms of Gaming. Is it worth? Is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 capable of handling all the tasks without struggling with issues like overheating?
Last but not the least and most importantly, how is the battery life? Especially on the Tab S9.
I'd be really thankful to anyone sharing me their experience.
Just like you I used to have a Apple iPad Air (M1) and then I bought the tab S9 cuz I wanted to move to Android, and I also have the S24 ultra as my main phone. For me or for anyone who uses laptop just for emails or something Microsoft word and Excel works, or any stuff that doesn't require a big windows software, the Tab S9 could completely replace it. I even use it for intermediate video editing by using Luma Fusion. And the Samsung Dex is really a game changer, cuz I normally use a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse for my tab, and it actually feels like a proper desktop and the multitasking is amazing.
If you wanna hear about the performance, I've had my tab for almost 10 months and I never experienced any heating issues. Anything that's in the playstore, this tab can handle. I even do lots of gaming on this tab (Genshin Impact on the highest settings possible) and it never shown me any lag. The tab might get a warm or a little hot when you play genshin on highest settings, but nothing that much to worry.
And for multitasking, dex was superb for me, and mine is a 128GB model and I really wish I should've gone to the 256 GB model. Well mine have 8GB of RAM and I still never got issues with multitasking, and yes, I do multitasking a lot. And my cousin have the tab S9+ and I'll say it's completely make sense to buy the plus model if you do a lot of multitasking. The best thing I like about this tab is the screen and coming from an ipad, its sooo superb, and I really like the ratio very better than the ipad for entertainment.
And about the battery, mine was pretty good, I wouldn't say it's the best, but it's pretty good. S9+ was a lot better in battery than the S9. And it charges really fast if you ask me if you use a 45W charging brick.
