My tablet has suddenly decided not to download app updates. I go into Google Play and there is a list of 28 updates, but all of them show "download pending" with none of them actually downloading. Have I inadvertently changed a setting?

Hi  Alanmacza

Try the following steps to resolve this issue:

1. Please go to Settings>>Apps>> Tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner>>Show System Apps>> Google Play Store>> Storage>> Clear Cache.

2. Then please perform a soft reset of your device.

Press and hold the power and volume down buttons for about 10 seconds.

*The device may take a screenshot, however keep holding the buttons for a few more seconds.

Thanks. I tried that, plus the other comments and made sure my downloads were automatic across any network, but I still have a list of 35 updates that say "download pending". My tablet has no sim card and is only used over my home wifi.

Saturday afternoon I opened up the "updater" in the Google Store only to find the tablet downloading all 35 updates. I didn't do anything after clearing the cache, go figure. Thanks.🤷‍♂️
