I have been using the SwiftKey keyboard for many years. I tried to switch to the Samsung keyboard several times, but I found many issues. It was never comfortable for my regular use.
The first difference I felt is the touch vibration. The second major issue is the backspace key. On the Samsung keyboard, the backspace deletes only one letter at a time. However, on SwiftKey, I can delete an entire word or just a letter very quickly. This saves me a lot of time because the backspace works very fast on SwiftKey.
The next important feature is the voice button. I use Malayalam as an additional language. On SwiftKey, I can long press the voice button and set any language I want. The main difference is that the Samsung keyboard uses Google voice typing. It stops automatically if I pause while speaking. There is no option to change this timing on the Samsung keyboard or the voice assistant. This is a big problem because I have to speak in a single flow without stopping. But on SwiftKey, it does not matter if there is a gap between words. SwiftKey keeps listening even if I pause. This makes SwiftKey the best choice for sending voice messages because the timing is better.
Finally, I found the font size on the Samsung keyboard to be too small. There is no option to increase or decrease the letter size on the keys in the Samsung keyboard settings. SwiftKey also does not have this option, but the default size is correct and clear.
