It's good to be finally on the Beta for the latest OS update.
I'm proud to be on my 3rd Samsung mobile since S21FE, and probably never switching to any other brand in future, just because of the UI and everything that Samsung flagships provide.
Loved features of Beta:
Status bar icons sizes and placements modifications.
Overall system animations.
Stretching wallpaper beyond given to accomodate clocks on lockscreen.
Below are feature suggestions that could make the final release of one ui 8.5 even better:
Add network speed indicator option that can be turned on for those who prefer it. I really loved this one on other OS and miss it dearly on Samsung.
Give the option for double line app icon names automatically or manually. This is essential and enhances the ui experience. Seeing the full app name (even optional) is a must have feature for many users.
Give more animation customization options for Home and App Screens.
Allow folders to be moved to last order in the vertical app drawer. This helps put less used apps in the folder and folder lies at the end, giving most used apps the topmost priority.
Give option of Battery icon horizontal and vertical in the status bar, also battery % option to display seperately and not inside the battery icon if turned on.
Allow alphabetical sort on horizontal app page also. Basically make the functions of horizontal and vertical app drawers similar.
Make the glass icons theme better. Why some icons do not adapt automatically to the glass icons, please please make it consistent.
Allow samsung keyboard height to be reduced more. I really like how the google keyboard just occupies about 20% of the screen when stretched to lowest height.
Make all additonal apps as deletable - Google messages, meet, etc. as many users like the Samsung messaging app.
Allow elongating capsules in the notification panel for battery, modes, Bluetooth, wifi horizontally so that more details such as connected devices, active modes, mode selection can be directly accessed from single tap on the icon itself in the notification bar instead of opening it's own sub menu.
Add super slow-mo 960 fps option. Really loved that one on S21FE. Missing it since.
It must be noted that many Samsung users have been waiting for many of these features since a long time.
I might add more as the usage to beta continues extensively.
