Bro it is good option, and it is for low light only. In day light when you turn off Adaptive pixel whole sensor is used to take detailed pictures without combining multiple low-res photos, there is a rule behind it that, bigger sensor with lower megapixel can adopt maximum light into sensor because of larger single pixel size by binning pixels, but bigger sensor with higher megapixel can't adopt that much light into sensor because of smaller single pixel size. That's why you need adaptive pixel in low light.
