Samsung just blurred the line, but there is no full blur effect at the top of the notification panel, and many apps are not optimized for full screen. Just look at instagram it looks ugly.

No lock screen customisations. No app lock.

No fluid ui designs. It feels samsung has forgotten innovation

The reason it has full screen & liquid glass effect on Apple Devices is because apple gives application system level APIs and force to apply them as soon as possible

The Android on other hand is Google's Property and Google doesn't give for force application to give a big UI overhaul update

After Android 17 Google did said to Third-party app developers that they can now build full screen apps for Android.

But Google doesn't force them, So it's upto app developer to developer to build a Full screen app of Android or not.

Or where develop is now or in the later years.

Good news is WhatsApp is developing a New User Interface for Android Devices

It will have a pill shape bar which will have the contacts, updates, communities and call icons in it.

Also Apple's All Devices are flagship devices, equipped with a powerfull processor and their own chip & software.

Androids have different chips, software UI, Budget devices etc

So the developer needs to develop an application that runs on All Devices with different shapes, weak or strong processor.

The developer can give very good animations in an Application, but because not All Devices can run those animation smoothly.
The development have no choice to develop a simple app that runs on all devices
