Dear Samsung Team,
When we look at the remarkable journey of OneUI, it’s clear how much evolution has taken place. OneUI 4 brought a strong sense of stability, and with versions 6.1, 7, and now 8, Samsung has truly elevated the user experience, especially in terms of visual design, animations, and transitions. The progress is genuinely impressive, and it shows how much thought and effort your team continues to invest in innovation.
That said, I humbly feel there’s still room for enhancement, particularly when it comes to the lock screen experience. If we compare it to what Xiaomi has achieved with HyperOS 3.0, their lock screen offers more customization, smoothness, and visually captivating features that feel both refreshing and highly engaging. In this area, OneUI 8 seems to fall a little behind.
I’m sharing this perspective with admiration for the amazing work Samsung has done, along with a link showcasing how competitors are implementing more dynamic, versatile, and eye pleasing lock screen options. I believe that if Samsung brings similar improvements, One UI could set a new benchmark for both functionality and visual appeal.

Xiaomi's HyperOS presents a compelling user experience in comparison to One UI 8, which appears to be a minor iteration of One UI 7. Given Samsung's commitment to providing seven years of OS updates, there is an opportunity to further refine their software experience. Smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Oppo, despite not matching Samsung and Google's update commitment, currently offer superior UX through interfaces like HyperOS and ColorOS. Samsung is leveraging Google's Gemini features, accessible across various Android devices, for product promotion, rather than solely focusing on the development of proprietary Galaxy AI features.
