As already witnessed in the recent one UI 4.0 beta, Samsung has implemented a specific zoom-in zoom-out transition animation of the home screen wallpaper while opening and closing an application. This parallax zoom effect is not completely applied in the UI experience of home screen UI actions such as recent apps screen and notification panel dropdown.
As a keen observer to details and consistency, the implementation seems a bit inconsistent and unfulfilled of where it's only being applied. The zoom-in, zoom-out UI transition animation of the home screen wallpaper when opening or closing an app is quite a pleasing animation and helps maintain the UI fluidity and smoothness. This transition of home screen wallpaper zoom-in zoom-out animation can also be better applied for UI action cases like dragging the drop down notification panel while being in the home screen and also when a user initiates the gesture action to go to recents app window. Applying it in these cases as well provides a certain degree of consistency and fluidity in user experience while a user engages in home screen UI actions.
