Expand arrow button in brief notifications should have a larger touch area

Currently, tapping the expand arrow button on brief notification pop-up is a hit or miss. Half the times, the notification gets clicked, opening the app, instead of the notification getting expanded. Either the touch catchment area for the arrow button be enlarged or an option be given to expand the notification by swiping down on it, instead of opening the app in a pop-up window. Thank you.
