Secure Folder
Hello Samsung Community 👋

I’m **Tom**, using a **Galaxy S25 Ultra** with **One UI 8** (Android 16), and I wanted to share some important feedback about **Secure Folder**.

In earlier One UI versions, we had the option to **lock Secure Folder immediately when leaving an app** inside it. This meant that as soon as you switched to any app outside the Secure Folder, it would lock right away. 🔒

In **One UI 8**, this option is gone. Now, Secure Folder stays unlocked until the lock timer runs out. While this might be convenient for some, it also leaves sensitive data exposed during that time — which can be a real risk if someone gains access to your phone.

This change impacts:
- 🔐 **Security** — less protection for sensitive files and apps.
- 🛡 **Privacy** — higher chance of unintentional exposure.
- 📋 **Compliance** — harder to meet stricter workplace or industry policies.

**My request** 🙏
- Please **bring back the “Lock Secure Folder when leaving app” option** from previous versions.
- Or add a **"Lock on Exit" toggle** so users who want instant locking can enable it.

Many of us rely on Secure Folder as a core reason to choose Samsung devices, and restoring this feature will strengthen trust in it as a top-tier privacy tool.

If you agree and want Samsung to bring it back, please ❤️ this post and comment so the team notices!

Thanks for reading,
Tom
