We understand your concern about being unable to access your data after reinstalling the application. Kindly note that Samsung Wallet is protected by Samsung Knox security, and the password being requested is the Samsung Wallet verification method (such as PIN, fingerprint, or biometric authentication) that was previously set within the app.
For security and data protection reasons, if the verification method (PIN/password) is not correctly entered, access to the encrypted data cannot be restored.
Kindly try the following:
- Ensure you are entering the correct Samsung Wallet PIN that was previously set (this is different from the device lock screen password)
- If you remember setting biometric authentication, try using fingerprint or face recognition
- Check if you are logged in with the same Samsung account previously used
- If the correct credentials cannot be provided, the encrypted data inside Samsung Wallet cannot be recovered, and you may need to reset the application and set it up again. After resetting, you will need to re-add your cards.
