Samsung Health application

I use Samsung Health app on my phone. I have observed many a times it does not counts steps. I have kept background running on for this app. Still sometimes it does not count steps. 

Is anyone facing same issue? Is there any solution to it?

There is an option for automatic activity detection inside the app. Is it turned on?

Are you referring to 'Auto detect workouts'? It is on.

Yes... Then I don't think there's much to be done other than clearing the cache and data. And may be reinstalling the app.

I selected cycling activity today. It did not capture the total kms. Its blank. Although it captured time and cal.
