Yes it is happening even now, I brought a brand-new phone but now the power button isn't working

You're getting a warranty at least an year for brand new products. You can claim it from the place you bought.....

Hi... I think probably this is an issue with the power button. Check with a Samsung service centre near you. Till then you can try the Assistant Menu to power off & screen off. (Settings > Accessibility > interaction and dexterity > assistant menu)
